National Secondary Schools Culinary Challenge Finals

Vegetables.co.nz proudly supports the annual National Secondary Schools Culinary Challenge (NSSCC).

Held in Auckland last month, the thrilling finale saw eight teams from across New Zealand engage in a culinary showdown.

Armed with creativity and a lot of well-practiced skills, these young chefs all performed extremely well in the busy kitchen. 

Fresh, New Zealand-grown cauliflower was the feature of their entrée dish. This versatile vegetable shined through in various ways that delighted and impressed the judges.

Congratulations to Elisha Scerri and Max Calvert and their tutor, Toby Sanderson, from Wellington Trades Academy who took home the Champions trophy. 

The NSSCC is a fantastic opportunity for budding chefs to be recognised and encouraged into the hospitality industry.
